Disorienting display requires you to use an elemental skill (doesn't work on Phys conversion), and Doryani requires you to not only have life (No CI), but not "cap" leech. It's also one of few ways to get inc area. No idea why you're hating on it.I wouldn't really, invested about 40ex into a doryani's elementalist but the skill just ultimately feels godawful no matter what you do.
