I've had chronic gastritis for over a year now and I was diagnosed on september 2020, besides the random bloating I also have reflux and the gastro I'm currently visiting only prescribe me with PPIs and pills that sometimes don't even do anything, I've been also drinking cabbage juice for like 2 months now but I'm already tired of all that cause I feel like nothing is really helping me heal ...Thank you to everyone on here who answered my questions in those early days/weeks/months - I learned more from Reddit about gastritis than any doctor or anywhere else. My best advice is find the treatment that works for you (PPIs are great for some - not for others) and stick with the bland diet to allow your stomach to heal. Not everyone with gastritis will have symptoms. Treatment depends on the cause of gastritis. For example, if alcohol or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs cause acute gastritis, then discontinuing their use is the first choice. If a bacterial infection is a cause, antibiotics with proton pump inhibitors are the main treatment choice. .
